The voltage state of full charging for lifepo4 Battery

This is a question who many normal users neglect it . They touch it , but don’t consider it .this time We will discuss it
Pressurized charging of LFP batteries refers to a constant current / constant voltage (CC/CV) .IT is a charging method, When we charge the single cell up to 3.65V — higher than the nominal 3.2V, This peak voltage ensures we fully saturate the cell and it is completely full with electricity.
Basic principle
• One single LFP (Lifepo4 )cell reaches its charging peak at 3.65V. After stopping charging and resting, the voltage will drop back naturally to a true full-charge state of 3.33–3.35V. The voltage difference during this process is virtual voltage.
• Around 95% of the lifepo4 battery capacity will show them within the 3.0V–3.35V range. The 3.65V pressurized peak is designed for sufficient lithium intercalation and full capacity supplementation.
Core points
- Normal charging process: Constant current charging until 3.65V → switch to constant voltage charging → stop charging when the current drops to the set value.
2 . Safety limit: The voltage must never exceed 3.65V; otherwise, cell swelling and accelerated capacity degradation will easily occur.
3. Battery pack characteristic: The total voltage will decline after unplugging the charger, which is a normal phenomenon, and the BMS will perform passive equalization.
