The BMS type according to different Standard
In our previous articles. we once introduced some BMS according to the different application. but this time , we will introduce it in system so that you can know clearly.
BMS has many standard to sort . so many people don’t know how to choose.now we introduce the standard and types
1 . We Classify by hardware architecture (the most commonly selection criterion)

1). firstly Integrated BMS
Features as below : Single mainboard collects voltage and temperature data for all cells; extensive wiring, low cost, no separate slave controllers; prone to complete group failure in case of failure. Suitable for: Low-voltage, low-series (3S~24S, 12~96V)
Application as below : Electric two-wheelers/tricycles, low-speed mobility scooters, portable outdoor power supplies, small-capacity power banks, power tools
2). Secondly Distributed BMS (Master + Slave Controller)
Features as below
: Multiple slave controller boards collect data from nearby module cells; CAN/daisy-chain communication; high-voltage isolation; strong scalability; single slave failure does not cause the entire pack to crash. Suitable for: High-voltage, high-capacity (>48V, 400/800V vehicles)
Application as below :
New energy passenger vehicles, buses, heavy trucks, large-scale industrial and commercial energy storage power stations, marine power batteries
3). Thirdly Modular BMS (Hybrid Architecture)
Features as below : Standardized modular BMS; modules can be added or removed as needed, balancing cost and capacity expansion; multi-cluster cascading is possible.
Application as below :: Assembleable energy storage, forklift batteries, RV power supplies, industrial and commercial cascade energy storage, base station backup power.
