    In many inquiries from Colombian customers, we found that they purchased batteries to repair malfunctioning cells in existing battery packs. However, they encountered a problem: they couldn’t remove the damaged cells, or it took a lot of time and risk to do so. Additionally, many customers from Nigeria purchased cells to DIY 51.2V 100AH or 300AH lithium iron phosphate home energy storage systems.

Therefore, I will briefly introduce the manufacturing process of these products. Generally, we use two methods or processes to manufacture these types of lithium iron phosphate home energy storage systems or deep-cycle batteries (Parker).as below 

1) the first one  : Using studs and nuts with connectors.

 Using studs and nuts with connectors. This method is common for DIY customers, the process is relatively simple, and the tools required are not sophisticated. Sellers usually pre-laser-weld the studs to the positive and negative terminals of the battery cells and ship them with M6 or M8 nuts and connectors. Buyers can directly connect the cells and accessories using the connectors. The advantage is that the process is simple, error-free, and easy to repair. Inspection is straightforward; simply open the back cover. However, a drawback is the risk of loosening during long-distance transport, especially by sea, which requires multiple transfers. We have some experience and lessons learned in this regard.

Secondly, laser welding is used. As shown in the diagram, after extensive testing of the battery cells during production, the factory directly uses laser welding. Finished products are then inspected after production. The advantage of this is standardized processes and stable quality, preventing intentional loosening. This production process is generally used in areas with large-scale production and good local infrastructure and conditions.

 

Neither of these processes inherently affects the quality of the energy storage system. We usually adopt appropriate manufacturing processes based on the sales region or customer requirements. Overall, we are responsible for the quality of our products.
