Many Nigeria Customers like DIY the Lithium ion Battery ,Because they have the solar system , Scooter, Electronic tricycle or the Mobile bike, and so on.

               Firstly  for the solar inverter and system, it is simple , just considering the total power will be ok .but for some vehicles lifepo4 Battery pack will be more difficult

The more thing is the Smart BMS to choose . reasonably choosing will save the cost and dont’t hurt the vehicles

We mainly consider the two factors

               1 .the Motor and the Controller

             If you want to replace your acid lead battery with lithium ion Battery . you just check the size of the previous battery and the Capacity and Voltage , like your acid is 48V 30Ah, for the lithium ion Battery , you choose the same one 48V 30Ah .but you need to check the space is enough or not . it is not difficult

If you make the new one for your vehicle like E-motor or Tricycle , firstly pls check your Motor power and the Controller . normally they will show the applicated voltage and currency .like 72v or 60v or 72v and 60v. it will decide the seris of the battery . like the 72v will be 24 Series for the Lifepo4 Battery .60v is the 20 series for lifepo4 Battery . then choose the capacity of the battery ,30Ah. 50Ah. 100Ah or 150Ah , you need to check the controller Max currency on the controller .the manufacture will show it . like they will show 52A or 50A. pls note :here is the the currency 50Ampere, not 50Ah.

            2 the Rate of the battery charging or discharging

           One the previous article , i have shared the different charging and discharging rate .

           Some small capacity power type battery has high charging and discharging rate like 3C-4C

Like the 27Ah, 4C rate ,it can get the currency top :108A. the higher Currency ,the power will be strong ,but the lasting journey will be short .so when you choose the Smart BMS you need to consider the Balance between the speed and the lasting journey . if high speed will shorten the riding time . so you can use the smart BMS to control it .
