For example, they might want to use batteries for making electric tricycles but purchase energy storage 280 Ah batteries or others. They are unaware that these two types of batteries actually have some differences. Sometimes they are interchangeable, and sometimes they are not. This is because they may not have a good understanding of energy storage batteries and power batteries. Therefore, I&#8217;m sharing this article.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>    <strong>The following are the key differences between the groups:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. <\/strong><strong>Charge\/discharge rate (C-rate)<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Power type <\/strong>: Common <strong>1C\u20133C continuous charging <\/strong>, peak charging up to <strong>4C\u20135C <\/strong>; supports <strong>15\u201330 minutes of fast charging <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Energy storage type <\/strong>: conventional <strong>0.2C\u20130.5C <\/strong>, maximum not exceeding <strong>1C <\/strong>; <strong>slow charging <\/strong>and slow discharging to reduce degradation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2- <\/strong><strong>cycle life (@80% capacity)<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Power type <\/strong>: <strong>1500\u20133000 cycles <\/strong>; designed for automotive use with 8 years\/150,000 km, but degrades faster at high rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Energy storage type <\/strong>: <strong>4000\u20138000 cycles <\/strong>; power station\/home storage: <strong>10\u201315 years <\/strong>lifespan, with minimal degradation at low rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. <\/strong><strong>Energy density and power density<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Power type <\/strong>: Energy density <strong>140\u2013200 Wh\/kg <\/strong>; <strong>high power density (\u22651000 W\/kg) <\/strong>, lighter volume and weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Energy storage type <\/strong>: energy density <strong>90\u2013130 Wh\/kg <\/strong>; low power density <strong>(\u2264500 W\/kg) <\/strong>, insensitive to volume and weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. <\/strong><strong>Typical application scenarios<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Power-type <\/strong>: New energy passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, construction machinery, power tools, AGVs, and drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Energy storage types <\/strong>: grid peak shaving, industrial and commercial energy storage, residential photovoltaic energy storage, base station backup power, microgrids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Summarize<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Power type <\/strong>: <strong>High rate, high power, medium lifespan, with an emphasis on energy density <\/strong>, suitable for mobile and instantaneous high power scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Energy storage type <\/strong>: <strong>low rate of return, high stability, ultra-long lifespan, low cost <\/strong>, suitable for stationary and long-term stable energy storage scenarios .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>    <strong>These are some basic differences.
